Our mission is to re-engineer biological molecules or systems and use them in new technologies that solve real-world problems in areas such as medicine and energy.

In particular, we aim to:

• invent new devices or systems that will make electricity generation and storage better, cheaper and more environmentally friendly than at present; our technologies have particularly exciting applications in the consumer electronics space.
• investigate novel ways to diagnose, treat or prevent disease, with a view to enhancing human health

We are interested in entrepreneurship and the commercialisation of our inventions.
